of each donated dollar goes to
our programs that feed the
hungry. Less
than ten percent goes
toward fundraising and
administration.
For
comparison, the American
Institute of Philanthropy, a
national charity watchdog
service, will give a high grade
to charities that spend as much
as 25% on raising money.
We are
incorporated as "The Society of
Saint Andrew" as a 501(c)3 tax
exempt, nonprofit corporation.
We are recognized as an Advance
Special mission project of the
United Methodist Church
(#801600). We also meet the
requirements to be included in
the annual Combined Federal
Campaign.
Each year
we are independently audited and
will gladly disclose detailed
financial records on request. |
