Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 6, 2008

Lent

The season of Lent calls Christians to remember the mystery of our redemption in Christ and to more fully participate in his life-giving spirit. Our Lent Devotions Program invites the whole church to become engaged in this process of renewal. Participants are called to sacrificial giving during Lent as they are asked to make a financial contribution to the Society of St. Andrew.

We offer devotions that are designed to help Christians take seriously penance and reconciliation. Our program is capped by an optional Good Friday Fast to remind us of the sacrifice of the Lord and to identify with those who are in need in our society.

The Lent devotions starter kit includes a sample devotional booklet, sample Good Friday Fast material, a coin box, and instructions for church leaders to administer the church's participation in this program.

To order a starter kit electronically (with no obligation), use the button to the left.  After reviewing the material, you may use the other button to order the appropriate number of  devotional booklets and Good Friday Fast materials for your congregation.

Our Lent material is provided free of charge to individuals and congregations who covenant with us to donate to our ministry during the Lenten season.
