Maryland
The Society of St. Andrew has
delivered a total of more than 7 million pounds of salvaged potatoes and other food
to the needy in Maryland. This resulted in about 21 million servings of food
going to Maryland's hungry.
Maryland Gleaning
A volunteer
gleaning ministry operates out of Havre de Grace, Maryland, receiving
donated food from Brad's Produce in Churchville and delivering the
salvaged food to the Ray of Hope Center in Port Deposit. Please email us
for information. Please
follow this link
for directions to Brad's Produce.
You may find it more convenient to glean in
Virginia or
Pennsylvania. Also, if you are interested in gleaning on
your own in Maryland, you may order our Gleaning Guide for step by step
instructions. Got to this page to
order the guide.
More than 13.7 million pounds of
salvaged potatoes and other produce have been delivered by the Society
of St. Andrew to feed the needy in the nation's capital. This
resulted in over 41 million servings of fresh, nutritious food for hungry
Americans in the District of Columbia.
We do not operate a
gleaning ministry in the District. However, you may wish to glean in
Virginia or
Pennsylvania. |
