Michigan

The Society of St. Andrew has delivered nearly 1.6 million pounds of salvaged potatoes and other food to the needy in the state of Michigan through the Potato Project.  This has resulted in nearly 4.8 million servings of food going to Michigan's hungry.

Gleaning in Michigan takes place as long as the weather cooperates.   Most gleaning events take place on weekends where gleaners arrive in the fields around 8:00 a.m. and are on their way home by noon. The Society of St. Andrew's gleaning coordinator makes all arrangements with farmers and for produce containers and food distribution.
