Michigan
The Society of St. Andrew has
delivered nearly 1.6 million pounds of salvaged potatoes and other food
to the needy in the state of Michigan through the
Potato
Project. This has resulted in nearly 4.8 million servings of food
going to Michigan's hungry.
Gleaning in Michigan:
We have two offices
that conduct gleaning operations in Michigan. One is in Fennville and covers the
western part of the state. The other is in
Goodrich and covers the eastern part of the state. The approximate area for gleaning in
Michigan
is shown on the map below.

Gleaning in Michigan takes
place as long as the weather cooperates. Most
gleaning events take place on weekends where gleaners arrive in the
fields around 8:00 a.m. and are on their way home by noon. The Society
of St. Andrew's gleaning coordinator makes all arrangements with farmers
and for produce containers and food distribution.
