The Society of St. Andrew has delivered nearly 10.1
million pounds of salvaged potatoes and other food to the needy in the
state of Ohio through the Potato Project. This has resulted in about 30.3
million servings of food going to Ohio's hungry.
Gleaning in Ohio:
Our Ohio gleaning offices are located in Luckey and
Canton. The approximate area for gleaning in Ohio is shown on the map
below.
Gleaning in Ohio takes place as long as the weather
cooperates. Most gleaning events take place on weekends where gleaners
arrive in the fields around 8:00 a.m. and are on their way home by noon.
The Society of St. Andrew's gleaning coordinator makes all arrangements
with farmers and for produce containers and food distribution.
