Gleaning America's Fields ~ Feeding America's Hungry

Apple Gleaning Event
OCTOBER 17, 2009 -- SYCAMORE SPRING ORCHARD.

This has been our busiest gleaning season everWe gleaned over 700 pounds of green beans, 800 pounds of corn, and 2,000 pounds of peaches.

There is more to come: pears, plums, and apples.

And we need your help!

We need your help at the big gleaning event at Sycamore Spring Orchard on Saturday October 17, 2009. We will glean from 8:30 – 11:30 am, rain or shine.

Click the buttons below for directions to the orchard, suggestions for what to wear and bring, and a medical liability form. All gleaners must complete this liability form, even if they gleaned last year.

If you would like a weekend experience, please consider joining this year’s Harvest of Hope Retreat in Palmyra (at Camp Seltzer) on Oct 16-18. During the retreat you'll learn about hunger in the U.S., study the Bible's call to action, and glean with us on Saturday. It’s not too late to sign-up for the retreat. I highly recommend it. Go to this page for more information or call 1-800-333-4597.
