In addition to our gleaning
effort, the attendees at the Harvest of Hope retreat gleaned at Sycamore
Spring Orchard on Oct 14.
Over the two weekends, we
filled a total
of 1,002 half-bushel bags
-- that's 501 BUSHELS of apples --
our biggest harvest EVER!
We delivered the apples to
these organizations:
-
257.5 bushels to Central
Pennsylvania Food Bank
-
181 bushels to Lebanon
County Christian Ministries (LCCM)
-
50 bushels to Conrad Weiser
Food Bank in Berks County, PA
-
9 bushels to Provide a
Lunch program, sponsored by churches in the Hanover area
-
2.5 bushels to the Caring
Cupboard in Palmyra
-

It was hard work but your
efforts produced a wonderful bounty for a LOT of needy people in our
area.
