Texas

The Society of St. Andrew has delivered nearly 15 million pounds of salvaged potatoes and other food to the needy in Texas through the Potato Project. This has resulted in close to 45 million servings of food going to Texas' hungry.

Gleaning in Texas:

Our Texas gleaning office is located in Universal City.  The approximate area for gleaning in Texas is shown on the map below.

Gleaning in Texas takes place as long as the weather cooperates.   Most gleaning events take place on weekends where gleaners arrive in the fields around 8:00 a.m. and are on their way home by noon. The Society of St. Andrew's gleaning coordinator makes all arrangements with farmers and for produce containers and food distribution.
