West Virginia
The Society of St. Andrew has
delivered nearly 3.3 million pounds of salvaged potatoes and other food
to the needy in the state of West Virginia through the
Potato
Project. This has resulted in about 9.9 million servings of food
going to West Virginia's hungry.

Our West Virginia gleaning office is
located in Wheeling. The approximate area for gleaning in West
Virginia is
shown on the map below:

Gleaning in West Virginia takes
place year-round as long as the weather cooperates. Most
gleaning events take place on weekends where gleaners arrive in the
fields around 8:00 a.m. and are on their way home by noon. The Society
of St. Andrew's gleaning coordinator makes all arrangements with farmers
and for produce containers and food distribution.
