Today’s poor economic conditions
have an effect on everyone. We
all are noticing increasing
prices of daily items. Those
impacted the most by the
financial crunch are those who
were already making hard
decisions between paying their
rent, medical expenses, or
putting food on the table. For
them, having a supplemental
source of food is essential to
making ends meet.
Food banks, soup kitchens,
and feeding agencies across the
nation have empty shelves due to
increased food demands. The
Society of St. Andrew provides
fresh produce to these agencies
at no charge.
Working together with
financial support from donors
paying freight and bagging,
farmers donating produce, and
volunteers gathering crops we
can feed those who are hungry.
As we all feel the impact of the
economy, let us reach out to
those in need and be a blessing
to each other.
Together we can make a
difference! |
